Lab Testing

Lab testing offers us concrete evidence on how our body is functioning, and allows us to tweak or correct course if needed.

If you’re interested in lab testing to explore digestive issues, allergies, hormonal imbalances, deficiencies or genetics, you can book a Test Consultation directly.

We’ll recommend which tests are right for you, and help you to understand the results, along with any next steps.

Ask us how testing can complement your osteopathic treatment.

Musculoskeletal System
  • CORE Inflammation  Profile $2980

This is a custom panel of blood tests to check your overall musculoskeletal health. We find out your risk for injury, as well as your rate of recovery to optimise your rehabilitation and manage any risk.

  • Vitamin D $1598

Vitamin D deficiencies are very common, and influence everything from mood to physical resilience.

  • IGF-1 Hormone $1498

IGF-1 is a hormone found naturally in your blood. Its main job is to manage the effects of growth hormone (GH) in your body. Normal IGF-1 and GH functions include tissue and bone growth. This test gives an insight into cell growth and survival, maturation and proliferation, allowing for tissue growth and renewal.

Food Sensitivities

Food sensitivities may be caused or intensified by many factors such as stress, infections, over-eating, artificial preservatives, additives, moulds, pesticides, antibiotics, and environmental pollutants.

Our body mitigates these factors by producing IgG antibodies, which recognise the food as the pathogen, and proceed to fight it whenever we eat that type of food. IgG antibodies are the most common form of immunologic mediated food responses and often go undiagnosed, and untreated.

A food sensitivity reaction happens gradually and can be mild, unlike an allergic reaction such as anaphylaxis.

Test Method: Blood
Provider: Alletess
Suitable for children: Yes

Related Conditions:
Autoimmune diseases, IBS/IBD, digestive complaints, diarrhoea or constipation, brain fog, skin problems like acne and psoriasis, mood disorders, and diabetes.

Unidentified food sensitivities can then contribute to many chronic health conditions: including Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS), rheumatoid arthritis (RA), headaches, autism, ADD/ADHD, eczema, chronic ear infections, gut malabsorption, insomnia and many others.

Hormone Testing
  • Adrenal Stress Profile $2498

Unbalanced hormones can be the cause of poor sleep, energy levels, weight changes and inflammation. This test checks your Cortisol levels to allow us to make targeted recommendations on improving your overall health condition.

Provider: AMS

A hormonal imbalance rarely stems from only one type of hormone. More often, the problem involves a series of hormones that are out of balance.

Gastrointestinal Tests

The gut microbiome – the microbial make up in our gastrointestinal system – affects a wide range of areas in our health, including digestive, immune, metabolic and neuroendocrine functions. The GI-MAP (Microbial Assay Plus) detects organisms that affect your gastrointestinal system, such as parasites, bacteria and fungi.

Heavy Metals

Heavy metal toxicity, caused by increasing levels of pollution and use of chemicals in industry, is a growing threat to our health and development of our children. High levels of toxic metals deposited in body tissues and subsequently in the brain may cause significant developmental and neurological damage. A Metals Hair Test is ideal for checking current exposure to toxic metals.
